BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A man who attacked his ex-girlfriend with a sledgehammer has been found guilty of attempted murder.

A jury in Buffalo returned the verdict against 54-year-old Mark Dublino on Monday.

Prosecutors say that despite an order of protection, Dublino entered his former girlfriend's home in suburban Williamsville in 2016. Inside, he struck the woman and her friend multiple times in the head with a sledgehammer.

Prosecutors say when he left, he went to his ex-girlfriend's parents' home and attacked her elderly father with a shovel.

All of the victims survived.

In addition to attempted murder, the jury found Dublino guilty of burglary, criminal contempt and assault.

He's scheduled to be sentenced in state Supreme Court in March.
