With all of the snow that Winter Storm Nika dumped on the area today, exact measurements are hard to come by.

So the WIBX crew decided to take our own measurements. Using our WIBX truck.

The truck was sitting undisturbed since about 8 p.m. Tuesday night -well before snow started falling. When we took these measurements the truck had been collecting snow for about 16 hours. As you can see in the pictures below we recorded about 6 1/2" on the hood of the truck and more than 7" on the top.

But that's only in Marcy. Reports have come in that areas around the state have been hit with more than a foot of snow.
