We preview next week's NY22 Congressional District debate in studio.

Oneida County Executive Tony Picente's veto of the local sparklers law has initiated some political strategy by the Oneida County Board of Legislators.

Smith Packing sent some food over yesterday after we talked so much about food.  We are grilling today...come on over.

We talk about spiders, and other creepy crawlies that try to find their way inside your ear...

We talk about Tom Brokaw and David Letterman...and David Letterman's beard.

A Central New Yorker is on a national cooking show.  We will talk with her.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch is reporting that one of the building near the Boilermaker finish line will be used for loft-style housing.

Willie Waffle says, "'The Conjuring' is the best horror movie of the 21st century."  He talks about the "slow-burning eeriness" of 'Conjuring 2,' and gives it 3 and a half waffles. "Now You See Me 2" gets two-and-a-half and "Warcraft" gets zero waffles.

7 AM Hour

Former WUTR reporter Julia Rose, now at WHAS-TV 11 in Louisville, Kentucky.  She joins us to talk about today's planned memorial service for Muhammad Ali.

We talk about a woman who took down a would-be burglar.  She beat him with a chain saw.

Oneida County Majority Legislator George Joseph joins us to talk about the veto of the sparkler law.  He says that their political tactic did not work and sparklers will not be legal for the Fourth of July.  He says that he respects Oneida County Executive Tony Picente's opinion but thinks that the sparklers should be made legal.

8 AM Hour

Linda from Utica tries to win today's music contest.  She wins tickets to see Chubby Checker at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

Smith Packing brought hot dogs and kielbasa in for our breakfast.  Even the boss is partaking...

 

We talk with Matt Schlapp from the American Conservative Union about the 22nd Congressional District race and Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney's criticism of the ACU following its endorsement of candidate George Phillips.  Steven Wells is also running.  Schlapp says that Phillips has a "winning way" about him.
