Callers Tim and Sue call in to talk about the issue.  Tim says that some of the fault is with the doctors.  Sue agrees to some extent, saying that the pediatricians do not want to help serve patients who are not theirs.

Willie Waffle reviews this week's movie releases.  He gives X-Men: Apocalypse one and a half waffles.  He says that it is not for the uninitiated.  He said that "Alice Through the Looking Glass" is pointless, well, except for the fact that it will help pay off Johnny Depp's soon to be ex, Amber Heard.  It gets one and a half waffles as well.

7 AM Hour

Charles Barkley says that the words that won the National Spelling Bee are not real words.  We cannot pronounce them and we certainly cannot spell them.  Maybe Barkley's correct.

Triple A Central New York's Ed Welsh joins us totalk about Memorial Day travel and summer safety tips.  89% Of travellers are going by car this weekend - that is a record according to Ed Welsh.

22nd Congressional District candidate George Phillips joins us via telephone.

Utica Comptroller William "Bill" Morehouse is on to talk about the sale of Hotel Utica to Andy Patel of Visions hotels.

Tomas Zavalidroga was found guilty in Oneida City Court yesterday.

New York Mills Mayor Bialeck calls in to give us an update on the World War II monument that was vandalized last year when an eagle was removed.  On Monday at 11:00 there will be a rededication of that eagle and that monument in Veterans' Park.

Assemblyman Marc Butler calls in to say that there will be a rally at 3:00pm tomorrow by the dam at the Hinckley Reservoir.  He says that he took comments made by Mohawk Valley Water Authority Executive Director Pat Becher as a positive sign that there is some work to be done about the water supply - and its management - at Hinckley.

Frank from New Hartford calls in and says that legal foreign immigrants take education very seriously and that is one of the reasons why their children do so well in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.  He also talks about respecting the American flag.

Dr. Don Bucklan joins us to talk about the onset of mosquito season.  He is Regional Medical Director for U.S. HealthWork and Practicing Clinical Occupational Medicine for more than twenty-five years.

 

Caller Jan has a question for Dr. Bucklan.  He says that climate change is affecting the prevalence of mosquitoes in the world.

Ryan from Whitesboro tried to win today's Free Money Question of the Day.  He wins a gift certificate from Carmela's Cafe in New Hartford.
