6 AM Hour

The weather is...nearly perfect.

The situation in the United States House of Representatives is...crazy.  We talk #NoBillNoBreak.

Tonya J. Powers from Fox News talks about Social Security, which is expected to run dry in 2034.  There will be a small, she says, "meager" hike in the benefits.

Late night hosts talk about the House of Representatives sit-in.

When the C-SPAN feed was discontinued, some members of Congress livestreamed the broadcast.

-

We continue our discussion about the Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven" lawsuit, and Keeler plays a 400-year-old song that, yes sounds like the same song.

Our new intern, Angelo from Utica, joins us this morning.

7 AM Hour

Rumors that Carbone was sold have been addressed.  But is the UFC for sale?

GOP NY22 candidate Steven Wells presents checks to the Cuomo campaign after our fact-checking during the WIBX NY22 debate.  He presents three checks to us with affidavits to verify the signatures on those checks.

Wells also speaks to the House sit-in that occurred last night.  He also talks about Social Security.  Wells says that changing the retirement age is necessary.

Happy Birthday to:

  • Glenn Chapman from Yorkville
  • Megan Chapman from Yorkville
  • Joseph Ratcliffe from New Hartford

Glenn gets the certificate from the Florentine Pastry Shop in Utica.  Congratulations!

Joe Load calls in to talk about gun control, eer, and an upcoming charity event.

8 AM Hour

Michael Long is Chairman of the Conservative Party of New York.  He talks about his group's endorsement of Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney.  He says that the American Conservative Union has made a mistake in its endorsement of Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney.  He has been on the board for more than twenty years, and is definitely more than "just a social club."

Attorney Joe Hobika calls in and tries to set the legal record traight about civil liberties.

We speak with American Conservative Union Chair Matt Schlapp who talks about some of the thngs that went into their endorsement of George Phillips in NY-22.  He says that he has great respect for Mike Long, but disagrees with him on this issue.
