***Today’s Topics***

6:10-6:20:

- We review the story of the man in Utica who answered his door and had gasoline poured on him and was set on fire.

- New developments are coming out in this story. Even though the man didn't recognize the assailant, but it turns out the man set on fire was a level 3 registered sex offender.

- There is a list that was compiled of the Top 10 most dangerous cities in New York according to: http://www.mylife.com/blog/the-10-most-dangerous-cities-in-new-york-state/.

- We are almost three weeks away from the mid-term elections and there may be a shift in power in the Senate.

6:20-6:30:

- We give a little update on how we're all doing with our weight-loss challenge.

- Jeff gives his farewell to Julian Noga and he reflects on the type of person Julian was. Noga was the host of Polonaise right here on WIBX for almost a half a century. He also talks about Julian's extraordinary story.

6:40-6:50:

- Coming up later this morning, we will be giving you the chance to win $100 with our Free Money Question of the Day.

- We review yet again, the story of the level 3 sex offender who was lit on fire. We do not condone the actions of the attacker, we share this information as a possible motive, but we are not sure.

- Mitch McConnell did an interview where he used a word that Bill thought maybe it was a bad word.

Ray Stagich - The Weather Channel

- Ray uses his own dirty word and that is Sn*w!!! It's possible the north country will see some flakes. Another warm day on the way, but we could see the rain this afternoon.

Peter Franklin - The Gabby Cabby

- Peter is the last English Speaking cab driver in New York City. He delivers his true tales and we have special emphasis today on Ebola and how they're preparing for a possibility of it in New York City.

- We discuss a statue of Eric Snowden that was erected in a park in the city and it has since been removed.

- A black bear cub was found dead in Central Park.

- Check out Peter's True Tales at http://gabby.com/.

Thomas Armitage - Twitter

- Bill goes on and on about Tom's shirt. The sky is beautiful this morning. And more randomness.

- We ask what's trending now on Twitter. Is the man who was set on fire at his home trending? Not really regionally.

- The beauty of social media is that there is no filter.

- We discuss what's trending now locally on Twitter and Ebola is a big topic.

Rachel Sutherland - FOX News Correspondent

- Rachel is on to give us an update on the Ebola problem and there are two healthcare workers that have contracted the virus and talks about how nervous and concerned these healthcare workers are.

- One of the biggest reasons why the healthcare workers are not following proper procedure and protocol is their lack of proper training. They really have been asking for the proper equipment as well.

They Say It's Your Birthday....

First a very Happy Birthday to Bill's MOM!!!

- We start things off with the Burning Man story.

- We take a break as well to play our Free Money Question of the Day! Angela is our contestant and she almost had it, but she doesn't win the $100, but she does win dinner for two at Carmella's.

- We talk about Facebook and how many older people are on it and using if for keeping in touch with their family. It is only a matter of time before moms and grandmas will end up on Twitter, Vine, and others.

- Follow Thomas Armitage @ThomasJArmitage.

7:50-8:00:

- We will talk to the mayor next hour about the Harbor Project and what's new over there. We know there is a hotel being built there and it begs the question, are there too many hotels being built?

8:10-8:20:

- It has been a boring election season so far and we talk about the Frank Meola commercial. The Vescera and Meola race is probably the most exciting race right now and the Oneida County Family Court Judge position.

- Will you vote for Meola after this commercial? It contains information and events from Frank Meola's past.

- We take calls on the topic of this commercial.

8:20-8:30:

- We talk about the study and the list according to mylife.com, and it is the top 10 most dangerous cities in New York. The good news from this list is Utica, Herkimer, and Rome were left off the list.

- We list the cities again. The discussion ensues about some of the surprising cities.

- Stefan calls up today and talks about the top 10 dangerous cities and the Kansas City Royals.

Mayor Rob Palmieri - City of Utica

- Before we get to Mayor, Patrick calls up to talk about the survey of the top 10 dangerous cities in New York. Patrick talks about the health care element of the survey. He believes it has something to do with the flu. He wishes the study was more specific.

- Now to the Mayor:

- We have the Mayor on to talk about the progress with the Harbor Project. He says things are moving very fast and it is not going as fast as he would like because of enviornmental studies that need to be done.

- The Mayor believes that the harbor will draw a lot of the Adirondacks vacationers and our proximity to the Thruway helps as well.

- It will be a multi-use are including recreation. When it's all said and done, the boats will be able to come and park their vessels and eat, walk, and shop.

- He talks positive about the city and there are good things are happening. The Hotel Utica project is not dead, but they are working really hard on this and the city is doing everything in their power to make it happen.

- The reason that he feels people will invest in the Hotel Utica, is because they say the progress being made down there.

- Investors are visiting the city everyday and that is fact.
