6 AM Hour

Monaski was part of the panel last night at a League of Women Voters candidates forum featuring Michael Arcuri and Rob Bauer - the two candidates running for Onieda County Court Judge. Caller Tom was at the forum last night. He was relieved and happy to see two candidates running for office who handled themselves professionally, in contrast to the Trump-Hillary debates we've watched.

7 AM Hour

Utica Councilman Mark Williamson in studio to discuss the proposed 15-year Utica Pavement plan. There will be a referendum before voters next month to decide the issue. Williamson's concerns center around putting new pavement on top of crumbling infrastructure underneath. He says the plan would pave 14 miles of new road each year while the Mohawk Valley Water Authority replaces about 1 miles of new water line each year. He thinks a plan needs to be developed before moving forward.

Buffalo Bills radio color man Mark Kelso joins us on the Bills's loss in Miami which snapped a 4-game win streak. Buffalo will host the Patriots and Tom Brady this Sunday.

121st Assembly candidate John Salka joins us. He's a town supervisor in Brookfield and has served 7 years on his local school board. He's a Republican challenging Democrat incumbent William Magee. Salka is calling for ethics reforms, repealing of Common Core and says he is against the SAFE Act.

8 AM Hour

Mike Buckley from the Good News Center is in discussing their Flags for Heroes campaign. 1,000 American Flags will be on display on the Parkway in Utica to honor veterans and their families. Sam Rosenfeld, a visiting assistant professor of government at Hamilton College says polls show Hillary Clinton is starting to pull away from Trump. He says no one in history has ever made up that deficit this late in the race.
