If quitting smoking is on your list of resolutions in 2018, you're being offered some free help.

The Oneida County Health Department and Mohawk Valley Health System are offering a free, three week series of Freshstart Smoking Cessation classes.

Classes will be held from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings January 10, 17 and 24 at the Sister Rose Vincent Conference Room at the St. Elizabeth campus on Genesee Street in Utica. You must be at least 18.

Freshstart is an evidence based program created by the American Cancer Society teaching effective approaches to quitting and skills for coping with cravings, hospital officials say.
