The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to five games on Saturday with a 100-98 road win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Overnight sensation Jeremy Lin had an off night but still finished with 20 points, shooting 8 of 24 from the floor.

Iman Shumpert added 20 points of his own while Landy Fields dropped in 19.

Lin's emergence as a game changing force for the Knicks coincides with the team's longest winning streak of the season despite the absence of both Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. Lin has scored at least 20 points in each of the team's last five games, including a 38 point performance against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Friday.

New York improves to 13-15 as they head to Toronto to take on the Raptors Tuesday night.
