Nick Swisher homered for the second straight game, once again providing the difference at the plate, while Hiroki Kuroda shut down Texas' explosive offense in a 3-0 pinstripe win in the Bronx.

Kuroda (11-8) gave up just two hits and two walks while striking out five in his first complete of the year. 's

Swisher followed up his grand slam on Monday with a monster two-run shot on Tuesday night off Alexi Ogando. Mark Teixeira came up next and also took Ogando over the wall for his 23rd homer, quickly turning a scoreless game into a 3-0 lead.

Ogando was working in relief of Matt Harrison, who dropped to 13-7 after being charged a run on five hits through 6 1/3 innings.
