The NFL's lockout of it's players meant significantly fewer people tuned in to watch the NFL Draft on television. "USA Today" reported ESPN's average  for the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday was four-point-five million households.  That is 17 percent fewer than for last year's first round.  Friday night's viewership fell 29 percent and Saturday's was off by 11 percent.
