Lake Effect Snow and Wind Chill Advisory for CNY

As if the snow isn't bad enough, we'll be dealing with bitterly cold temperatures and windy conditions that will blow that snow all over the road. The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Advisory and a Wind Chill Advisory until Friday.

The Snow Advisory is in effect until 1 AM Friday. The Wind Chill Advisory is from 7 PM tonight until 9 AM Friday.

* Locations: Oneida, Onondaga and Madison Counties

* Accumulations: 4 to 8 Inches

* Timing: A band of heavy lake effect snow this morning. Snow Showers tapering off midday before another band of heavy lake effect snow this afternoon and evening.

* Impacts: The snow will combine with wind gusts up to 35 MPH to create considerable blowing and drifting snow. Travel will be impacted significantly, especially this morning and again this evening.

* Temperatures: Temps will rise into the teens today but tonight will bottom out from around 5 above to 5 below zero.

* Wind Chill: Wind chills will fall to between 10 below and 20 below tonight.
