State officials, friends and family members of Lance Cpl. Jeremy Lasher were in Oneida today to officially designate Route 365A in honor of the fallen soldier. LCpl. Lasher was killed in Afghanistan in 2009 when the vehicle he was driving hit an improvised explosive device(IED). LCpl. Lasher was 27.

The ceremony was attended by former Marines along with members of local Marine Corps. As the sign designating Route 365A was unveiled, the Marines on hand sang a solemn version of the Marines Hymn, better known by the lyrics, "The Halls of Montezuma."
