Utica, NY (WIBX) - Today is the last day to have your voice heard on the controversial method of natural gas drilling, commonly referred to as Hydrofracking.  Opponents and supporters of hydrofracking are expected to rally in Albany.

Today is the final day the Department of Environmental Conservation will accept comments on the practice. The DEC has received 21,000 comments on this issue since the beginning of the week.  Some residents believe that hydofracking will threaten the water supplies while others believe it will be an economic benefit for New York State.

To submit your comment to the DEC follow this link:  http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/76838.html. All comments must be received by close of business today, Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
