Leggs Diamond Jewelry & Pawn Shop Burglarized

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - New Hartford Police are remaining tight-lipped about a burglary that happened sometime over the weekend at the Leggs Diamond Jewelry and Pawn Shop. Authorities close to the case only willing to confirm that they were called to the shop, located on Commercial Drive, to investigate a break-in.

Co-Owner Brian Legg says he couldn't believe the news. "My other employee walked in, looked around and noticed that there was a pizza-size hole in my safe and that the place was trashed inside. I thought he was joking", adding "They cut right through it, they must have been here for hours".

Legg tells WIBX that he believes professionals pulled off the heist. "I want them caught", saying that he's offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
