Level 2 Sex Offender Arrested In Madison County

A Level  2 sex offender has been arrested following a 5-month investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

41-year Laverne King of Earlville is facing charges including predatory sexual assault against a child, course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities say King allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 13 repeatedly in 2011.

King has since moved to Chenango County, where he was located through the New York Sex Offender Registry.
