Free live music is returning to Utica this summer.

For the second year in a row, Utica has been awarded a grant from the Levitt Foundation to host concerts at Kopernik Park on Oneida Square.

Utica is one of only 15 cities to be awarded a Levitt grant.

The Levtt AMP Utica Music Series will take place on Monday nights from 6:00 to 9:00, from July 3rd to September 4th.  The first concert will take place at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Sculpture Grove.  MWPAI will also be the rain date location.

Event organizer Lynne Mishalanie says the music will feature a number of genres, including jazz, rock, reggae, blues and bluegrass.

For a link to this year's lineup can be found at levittamp.org/utica.

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties will once again be providing a grant to help fund the concert series.

Other partners include the City of Utica, Cornell Rust 2 Green, the DeSales Center and Utica Monday Nite.
