Little Falls, NY (WIBX) - For ten years, the Big M in Little Falls has served as the only grocery store in the city, but tomorrow it will be closing its doors for good.

"The is something we were forced... we were forced out. Our landlord did not renew our lease. Next summer, there will be a Price Chopper in the plaza."

That was Bonnie Colomb, who co-owned Big M for ten years. She says the store will be transformed into a Price Chopper, but is not scheduled to open until the summer, leaving residents without a supermarket in Little Falls.

She says the closure will have an impact on the entire city.

"You know, I feel bad for my employees, but you know what they say, 'Out with the old, in with the new,'" Colomb said. "It's just kind of a sad thing here, especially because the senior citizens are going to be without a store."

Colomb says the Big M in Dolgeville will offer a bus service for seniors to and from the store on certain days of the week, until the Price Chopper is opened.
