Local Arson Suspect Apprehended in Northern NY

Marcy, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County Sheriff's office arrested a Marcy man for his suspected involvement in a fire that burned property at the Willows Apartments, in the town of Marcy.

38-year old James T. Kirk was arrested October 14th in Malone, NY. Authorities believe he set the fire, saying that he was seen leaving the building minutes before the blaze started.

Kirk was remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail. The investigation continues.
