It's getting cheaper to fill up your gas tank.

Nationwide, gas prices are down seven cents a gallon over the past two weeks.

AAA's Ed Welsh says prices in the Utica-Rome area are also falling, but not quite as fast.

The average price is $3.82 a gallon, down three cents from last week.

Welsh says an oversupply of gas and decreased demand are driving prices down.

As the end of the summer driving season nears, Welsh expects prices to continue to fall.

He says prices could fall into the $3.50's by October 1st.

Welsh also says the switch to cheaper winter blend gas could mean another 20 cent a gallon drop.
