Local Group Highlights Healthcare Changes

A local group is trying to get the word out on changes coming under the Affordable Health Care Act.

Steve Wood of Community Health Advocates says the changes coming next year will benefit the middle class.

He says for the estimated two million New Yorkers without health insurance, hundreds of health insurance options will be available through a state-run Health Insurance Exchange.

Open enrollment for will begin on October 1st.

Wood say between now and then, individuals need to determine how much coverage they want and need.
