Local Illusionist Predicts Boilermaker Winners

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The 2011 Boilermaker Road Race is just around the corner, and somebody might already know the winners--down to the second.

Local illusionist Leon Etienne delivered a sealed package to Mayor Roefaro's office today, where it will sit until July 10th to be revealed during the post race party at the Brewery.

The package contains Etienne's predictions of who will win this year's race in both male and female categories.

"This is the first time I have made a prediction of this magnitude! The trick to a prediction like this is part science, part magic, and part luck," Eitenne said. "The odds are really not stacked in my favor," he added.

Boilermaker Executive Director Tim Reed says he has seen Etienne do some amazing things, and thought this would add some fun to the event.

The Mayor will bring open the package on stage at the party, where he will see how close Etienne is with his predictions.

Eitenne will perform some of his trademark illusions on Saturday, July 9th, at 11am at the Masonic Care Community Campus during the Health and Fitness Expo.
