Local Teachers Participate In SEMI High Tech U

Luke Tubia, WIBX

Teachers from 26 local school districts will be gathering to learn from industry experts how to include everyday examples of math, science and technology into New York State approved curriculum this week.

The ‘SEMI High Tech U’ teacher program is an in-depth course taught by industry professionals to trail local elementary, middle and high-school educators on how to introduce the rapidly expanding career fields of science, technology, engineering and math into their classrooms.

This is the third year the program has been offered in the Mohawk Valley.

More than 100 teachers have participated in the program over the past two years.
