There was sad news from New Hartford this week involving a 10th grader, John Lloyd, who passed away following a long battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Last year, John was granted a special wish from the Make a Wish foundation and he chose to spend his time with the Buffalo Bills.  According to the newsreel from the Buffalo Bills, John had never been to a Bills game.  He was treated to full red carpet treatment.

It was the week that the Bills played Miami on December 22nd.  John met all of the players, as well as head coach Doug Marrone.  He was given his own locker, led the team chant, signed an 'official contract' and was able to watch the game from the team's luxury box.  When it was all over, the New Hartford 10th grader was in the locker room celebrating the victory as the Bills shutout Miami, 19-0.

John Lloyd was 15-years-old.
