Fort Lee, NJ (WIBX) - A new survey finds that shoppers aged thirty-five and over are more likely to be influenced by "Made in the USA" labels.

Perception Research Services International polled more than 1,400 shoppers and found that more than seventy-six percent of shoppers in this age group  are more likely to buy a product bearing a "Made in the U.S.A." label.  This appears to be especially true with food and dietary products.

Shoppers said that where safety was a concern they were more likely to purchase American-made products.  Where price is concerned most agreed that the "Made in China" labels usually have lower prices tags, though many said that price was not trumped but safety or reliability.
