Madison County Couple Facing Charges In Animal Neglect Case

A Madison County couple is facing charges after more than 30 cats and dogs were found living in their abandoned home.

Authorities say the unidentified couple allegedly left the animals inside the house in the town of Brookfield and moved to another home.

Officials say the animals had been fed and most were actually overweight.

The home was described by an animal control officer as the most horrifying thing he had ever seen.

The animals have been removed from the home.
