Madison County Sheriff’s Office’s First K9 Dies

t's the end of watch for the Madison County's Sheriff's Office's first K-9 team.

The team of Lida and her handler, Deputy Lance Zaleski, were nearing the end of their joint efforts, with Lida set to retire in March.

But the dog recently became ill and she was put to sleep yesterday.

Lida was ten years old.

The Sheriff's Office stll has an active K-9 team in place.
