Wampsville, NY (WIBX) - The Madison County Department of Solid Waste has released a promotional video in an attempt to encourage companies to relocate to the area.

According to the group's director, James Zecca, the video will be used as promotion for the Madison County Industrial Development Agency, to drum up interest for the proposed Agricultural Renewable Energy Park.

John Becker, with Madison County's Board of Supervisors, says developing the business park will "put land back on the tax rolls" and create new jobs in Madison County.

The video promotes green energy, including the use of methane, created naturally in the landfill, to make low-cost electricity and heat, along with the group's use of a solar array to power the Madison-Cortland ARD Recycling Center.
