The Madison County Board of Supervisors is voting this morning on the agreement reached between the state, Oneida and Madison counties and the Oneida Indian Nation.

The Oneida County Board of Legislators approved the deal on Tuesday night by a vote of 16-to-13.

UPDATE 11:45 - It was close.

The Madison County Board of Supervisors has voted 10-to-8 to approve the agreement reached between the state, Oneida and Madison Counties and the Oneida Indian Nation.

Legislator Scott Henderson, who represents Oneida, was absent for this morning's vote.

All of the residents who spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting were against the agreement.

UPDATE 12:09 - Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter is congratulating Oneida and Madison Counties for approving the agreement.

In a statement, Halbritter says quote -- "We look forward to working together with the counties and the state as we begin a new chapter of shared prosperity for the entire community.
