Madison County Turning One Man’s Junk Into Treasure

Lincoln, NY (WIBX) – A new store expected to open in July is taking one man’s junk and turning it into another man’s treasure, literally.
The “Reuse Store” is a partner project of the Madison County Department of Solid Waste and the Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse.
Madison County Recycling Coordinator Sharon Driscoll says it is hoped that the store will cut down on landfill items and provide low and moderate income families with a new way to shop.
The clean, well-lit store will be open three days a week at the Buyea Road Landfill site in the Town of Lincoln.
