Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - Maybe critics read too much into back-to-back conference losses to Pitt and Nova, one of which came without the Orange's top scorer Kris Joseph. Maybe. But, what happened Tuesday night?

The unranked Seton Hall Pirates smoked No. 10 Syracuse, at the Carrier Dome, 90-68.

Syracuse has now lost three in a row, the last two at home.

The Pirates (9-12, 3-6 Big East) held Syracuse to the its worst shooting percentage of the season, to date, 36%. This while the Orange zone has been torched in consecutive games by the 3-ball.

Seton Hall shot 10-17 from beyond the arc last night, including seven in the first half. Nova made eight first half 3-pointers in Saturday's game at the Carrier Dome.

Joseph lead the Orange with 17 points. Rick Jackson had his usual double-double, tallying 12 points, 11 points and six blocks.

Jeremy Hazell lead the Pirates' attack with 28 points. Jordan Theodore added 19.

The Orange look to rebound on the road at Marquette on Saturday afternoon at 3.
