Utica Man Accused Of Slashing Son With Box Cutter

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man is no longer eligible for the "Father of the Year" award after he allegedly slashed his 16-year-old son in the face with a box cutter. Utica police say the incident happened August 30, 2012 on the 700 block of Mary Street.

Yesterday, acting on two felony arrest warrants, UPD arrested 44-year-old Michael Dixon of West Street.

Dixon is facing the following charges:

• Assault in the 2nd degree - a Class D felony
• Criminal possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree - a Class D felony
