A Little Falls man is facing charges following an altercation with a school crossing guard.

Little Falls Police arrested 26-year old William Farman and charged him with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and failing to comply with a flag person.

Police say Farman tried to drive pass a crossing guard who was in the process of crossing children.

They say when the crossing guard would not let Farman pass, Farman allegedly got in a confrontation with the guard and threw him to the ground.

The crossing guard was not injured.

Little Falls Police say officers will increase patrols in all areas where crossing guards are located to ensure compliance with their directions and to ensure their safety.
