A New York Mills man has been arrested after he allegedly mailed threatening letters from the Oneida county Jail.

New Hartford Police charged Mark Thomas, 32,  with 2 counts of aggravated harassment.

Police say Thomas sent letters to people from his past threatening to harm them both physically and financially while he was an inmate of the Oneida county jail for unrelated charges.

He was sent to the Oneida county jail on $10,000 bail.
