Man Charged with Stealing ATV, Driving it Drunk

A local man is accused of stealing a side-by-side ATV and driving it while intoxicated.

James Poupore, 53, of Verona Beach faces a slew of charges including aggravated DWI and grand larceny.

Herkimer Police say they received a complaint on Monday evening about a man driving the vehicle on State Street. When they caught up with him, police say it was determined that Poupore had stolen the ATV from a local business and had a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit.

Poupore was arraigned and remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
