ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A 21-year-old man will be sentenced for fatally shooting three people and wounding three others in Rochester last summer.

A jury last month found Johnny Blackshell Jr. guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and other felony charges. He faces life in prison without parole for the murder convictions when he is sentenced Friday.

Blackshell was accused of killing 19-year-old Raekwon Manigault, 17-year-old Jonah Barley and 25-year-old Johnny Johnson by firing a rifle into a crowd that had gathered outside the Boys and Girls Club after a basketball game on Aug. 19.

Two other men charged in the shooting will be tried separately.
