Man In Custody After Standoff From Downtown Rooftop Shooting In Denver, Colorado

Denver ABC Channel 7 News is reporting that a man is in custody, suspected of being the shooter who has held police at bay from a downtown Denver, Colorado balcony since early this morning.

Those inside The Gotham Building, located on Grant Street, near East 12th Avenue in Denver, were evacuated.

About a dozen shots were said to be fired from the balcony before police released a chemical agent into the building to force the man's surrender.  At 6:11am Eastern Time MetroSource News was quoting Denver Police Lieutenant Matt Murray as saying the situation was "very dangerous."  The Denver ABC affiliate reported that the suspect was in custody by 8:19am ET.  You can watch 7News' reports from the scene by clicking here.
