Man In Jail After Dispute With Father Turns Violent

Forestport, NY (WIBX) - A domestic incident involving a father and son landed one of the men in jail last night, according to an Oneida County Sheriff's report. Officials say 19 year old Mitchell S. Burdick of Forestport was taken to jail after Sheriff Deputies witnessed him smash a rear sliding window of the home, and the driver's side mirror of a vehicle with a shovel. They say the suspect also threatened his father with a kitchen knife.

Officials charged Burdick with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Menacing in the Second Degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Trenton and taken to Oneida County Correctional Facility where his bail is set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
