Man Injured In Motorcyle Accident In Rome

A Utica man is hospitalized after a motorcycle accident in Rome on Sunday night.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says Roberto Tejada was traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 49 just before the Barneveld exit when he lost control of his bike, which overturned.

Tejada was ejected from the motorcycle and crashed into a guard rail.  The motorcycle caught fire upon impact.

The accident remains under investigation.
