Man Injured In Overnight Shooting In Clinton [UPDATE]
A man is in stable condition at a Syracuse hospital after being shot early Monday morning in Clinton.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the man was shot in the leg on Kellogg Street at about 2:00 this morning. Authorities say another man fled the scene and was located a short time later at a relative's house on Utica Street in the village.
The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.
The investigation is continuing.
UPDATED 8/10/2015 4:31 pm - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in this morning's shooting on Kellogg Street in Clinton.
21-year old Devin Nelson of Clinton was taken into custody a short time after the shooting at a home on Utica Street in the village.
Authorities say Nelson allegedly shot 41-year old Chad Czternastek in the leg at close range. Czternastek was taken to a Syracuse hospital. His injury is not believed to be life threatening.
Nelson is charged with assault.
