PERTH, N.Y. (AP) — A man is dead after his vehicle crashed and caught fire in upstate New York.

State police say 41-year-old Francis Ryan died from blunt force injuries in the Tuesday night crash in Perth. The Gloversville Leader-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2xcvyLZ ) Ryan was not wearing a seatbelt and failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

According to police, Ryan drove the car off the road's shoulder and the vehicle overturned multiple times.

Ryan was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.

The accident is still under investigation and no charges are expected.
