State Police say a man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a pond near Little Falls.

According to officials on the scene, sometime overnight a vehicle driven by Bo Baker, 21, of Fort Plain, was traveling westbound on Route 5, when he allegedly went off the roadway.

His Chevy Cavalier struck a snow embankment, then landed with its roof submerged in a pond next to the old Salada Storage building.

A passerby called in the accident at 6:45 this morning, when they spotted Baker's vehicle.

While investigating, State Police say a second accident occurred involving three cars, though no one was injured.

Baker's cause of death has yet to be determined, pending an autopsy. A time of accident has also yet to be determined.

State Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
