BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A western New York man accused of drunken driving has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in a crash that killed one passenger and severely injured another in July.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 24-year-old Dennis Xenos of Amherst remains free on bail after his guilty plea Monday. Xenos faces a maximum of seven years in prison when he's sentenced on March 3.

The prosecutor's office says Xenos was intoxicated when he crashed at 3:20 a.m. July 8 on the "S'' curve section of Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. Passenger Christopher Rizzo died. Another passenger, Veronica Hager, is still recovering from injuries.
