Man Responsible For Standoff In Herkimer Undergoing Mental Evaluation

A man who is not being identified held police at bay for more than three and a half hours yesterday, causing a standoff that forced residents of a Herkimer neighbourhood to be evacuated.
Police say there were at least half a dozen guns inside the home.
The man, said to be in his early 20′s, was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
