BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for his involvement in a shooting at a Buffalo park that left one person dead and four others wounded.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Tariq Brown was sentenced in the federal court in Buffalo where he was convicted of federal racketeering charges stemming from the shooting at Martin Luther King Park in May 2012.

Prosecutors say Brown was an alleged member of the Bailey Boys Gang when he was involved in the shooting, which killed a man and wounded four other people, including one who is now a paraplegic and another who's blinded in one eye.

Authorities say the gang was accused of four murders and 14 attempted murders, including four drive-by shootings. Eleven gang members have been arrested and since convicted.
