Man Strikes Another With Piece Of Wood

Utica, NY (WIBX) – A Utica man is under arrest for allegedly striking another man in the head with a piece of wood.

Utica Police received a call for a fight early this morning on Roberts Road in Utica.

They say early this morning, a female was talking outside with a male friend when the neighbors came outside and began to yell at them.

According to Police, 26-year-old Thomas Finlay picked up a piece of wood during the arguement and came after the woman with it.

When her male friend stepped between the two, he was struck in the head with the wood.

The victim suffers from a skull fracture and a small contusion on his brain.

Finlay faces felony charges of Assault in the 2nd degree.
