Washington Mills, NY (WIBX) - No injuries reported after a hit and run in Washington Mills.

New Hartford Police say the owner of Clifford Fuel Car Wash, George Laraby,  reported a man trying to steal items from a wall mounted vending machine. Laraby attempted to confront the man. The man then drove off, hitting Laraby in the elbow with the driver's side mirror.

Laraby was able to report the correct license plate number to police.

56-year-old Daniel Wilczek of Utica was later found and ticketed for unsafe start, which is a violation.

Wilczek is scheduled to appear in New Hartford Town Court later this month.

Police say there was no damage to Wilczek's car and Laraby reported no injuries after the incident.
