The New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Spill team are investigating the crash of a tanker truck on Caldwell Hill Road in Lisle that dumped 4,000 gallons of liquid manure.

43-Year-old Charles Clute was driving north when the tractor trailer drifted onto the soft shoulder and overturned in the east ditch at 6:11 p.m. April 7, spilling the load into the ditch, across the road and onto private property.

Law enforcement and clean-up crews were on the scene for several hours.
