Marcy Man Tased After Intoxicated Confrontation

Marcy, NY (WIBX) -A Marcy man was tased by Police after getting into a violent confrontation with his girlfriend. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 53-year old Charles J. Richardson Jr. and his female companion were both intoxicated when they attempted to hang up a flat screen TV.

After dropping the television, Richardson became belligerent and threw another TV set into the side of his girlfriends car. When the police arrived the suspect turned his aggression towards the officer and was tased according to the police report.

Richardson was taken to the hospital and charged with 4 misdemeanors; Menacing 3rd, Criminal Mischief 4th, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, Resisting Arrest and Harassment. After he was released from the hospital, Richardson was arraigned in Floyd Town Court and taken to Oneida County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Marcy Town Court next week.
