NEW YORK (AP) — Ten American League pitchers combined on a three-hitter and shut out the National League 3-0 to win the 84th All-Star Game, and earn home field advantage for the AL team in the World Series. The emotional highlight was a 1-2-3 eighth inning hurled by 43-year-old Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, the All-Star MVP who is retiring at the end of the season as baseball's all-time saves leader.
